Promptly Mom, LLC — Community Code of Conduct
Effective Date: March 29, 2026 | Last Updated: March 29, 2026 | Applies across all Mom Circles and community features
Smart shortcuts. Real support. All in one circle.
The core behavioral standards that keep the Promptly Mom community welcoming, safe, and supportive for everyone.
Welcome to the Circle
Promptly Mom was built on a simple idea: moms do better when they support each other. Our community — the Mom Circles, the shared tips, the honest conversations — only works when everyone in it feels safe, respected, and genuinely welcome.
This Code of Conduct sets the expectations for how we all show up here. It applies to every member, in every space on Promptly Mom: your profile, the Mom Circles, comments, direct messages, and anywhere else you interact with our community.
These aren’t just rules. They are the values of this community written down. Most of you will never need to think about them twice — you already live by them. They exist so that the rare exception can’t ruin what everyone else is building.
Binding Part of Your Agreement: This Code of Conduct is a binding part of your agreement with Promptly Mom. By creating an account and using our Services, you agree to follow it. Violations may result in content removal, suspension of Mom Circle access, or permanent removal from the platform, at Promptly Mom’s sole discretion.
The Golden Rule of Promptly Mom
“Treat every mom here the way you’d want to be treated on your hardest parenting day.”
Parenting is vulnerable. Nobody needs judgment, comparison, or unsolicited criticism here. Bring empathy first.
The Rules of the Circle
1. Be Kind and Constructive — Zero Tolerance for Mom-Shaming
Every parenting journey looks different. What works for your family may not work for someone else’s. Disagreements are fine; cruelty, condescension, and judgment are not.
- DO: Share what worked for you with humility. Encourage other moms. Ask questions with genuine curiosity.
- DON’T: Criticize another parent’s choices around feeding, sleep, childcare, schooling, screen time, discipline, or lifestyle. Passive-aggressive comments (“Must be nice to have time for that”) are treated as shaming.
2. Protect Family and Child Privacy
You are responsible for what you share. Keep personal identifying details of your children, your family, and others private.
- DO: Share parenting situations generally (“My toddler has been struggling with bedtime…”).
- DON’T: Post full names, dates of birth, school names, daily schedules, home addresses, or recognizable locations of minors. Never share photos or details of other people’s children without explicit parent permission.
3. No Medical, Legal, or Financial Advice
Promptly Mom is a peer support community, not a healthcare provider or professional advisory service.
- DO: Share your personal experiences and what you learned from your doctor (“Our pediatrician recommended…”).
- DON’T: Diagnose other people’s children, prescribe treatments or dosages, advise against professional medical care, or present yourself as a medical authority.
4. No Self-Promotion, Spam, or Commercial Solicitation
Mom Circles exist for genuine support, not sales pitches.
- DO: Recommend products you personally love when someone asks for a recommendation.
- DON’T: Post affiliate links, promote multi-level marketing (MLM) products or recruiting, solicit clients, post links to your business, or send unsolicited commercial DMs.
5. Safe Content Only — Zero Tolerance Areas
The following content will result in immediate removal and may result in immediate permanent banning and law enforcement reporting:
- Any content depicting, describing, or promoting child abuse, neglect, exploitation, or endangerment.
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or identity.
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or intimidation of any member.
- Sexually explicit content, pornography, or non-consensual imagery.
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
6. Authentic Identity and Honest Sharing
We believe honest conversations require real people.
- DO: Be yourself. You don’t have to share everything, but what you share must be genuine.
- DON’T: Impersonate other individuals, create deceptive multiple accounts, or misrepresent credentials.
7. Respect Circle Topics and Guidelines
Different Mom Circles may have specific sub-topics and focuses. Keep your posts relevant to the Circle you are posting in.
- DO: Read the Circle description before posting. Post in the Circle that best fits your topic.
- DON’T: Cross-post the same question or comment across multiple Circles.
8. Responsible AI Use
AI is a helpful tool in Promptly Mom, but community spaces belong to human members.
- DO: Share AI-generated ideas, schedules, or prompts that were helpful to you, with disclosure.
- DON’T: Use AI to generate mass comments, spam discussions, or impersonate genuine human engagement.
9. Report, Don’t Retaliate
If you see a violation, don’t engage, escalate, or start a public argument. Use the built-in reporting tools.
How We Handle Violations — Proportional Enforcement
We know most mistakes aren’t malicious. Our moderation approach is educational first, disciplinary when necessary, and immediate only when safety requires it.
| Tier | Action | When Applied | Next Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Friendly Reminder | Minor, likely unintentional slip-ups | No impact on account standing |
| Tier 2 | Content Removal + Formal Warning | Clear violations (mom-shaming, spam, medical claims) | Logged on account for 90 days |
| Tier 3 | Temporary Circle Suspension (7-30 days) | Repeated violations after warning | Read-only circle access; app tools remain active |
| Tier 4 | Permanent Community Ban | Continued violations after suspension | Permanently removed from Mom Circles |
| Tier 5 | Immediate Account Termination | Zero-tolerance violations (hate speech, child safety, harassment) | Immediate ban; possible law enforcement referral |
Appeals Process
If you believe content removal or a suspension was made in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 calendar days of the notice to conduct@promptlymom.com with the subject line “Code of Conduct Appeal.” Include your registered email address, date of notice, and reason for appeal.
